Haddingtonshire work ID
The county that became East Lothian
Haddingtonshire was the name of East Lothian until 1921. The shire appears in 12th-century charters of King David, its county council was set up in 1890, and in 1996 it became one of Scotland’s 32 council areas. Haddington is both the former county town and today’s administrative centre.
The area covers 262 square miles and had about 115,180 people in 2024. Musselburgh is the largest town, with about 21,100 people, followed by Tranent, Prestonpans, Dunbar and North Berwick. Employers with staff in several of these towns, from councils and care providers to retailers and contractors, benefit from one work ID design across every site.
We print work ID with a photo, name, role and logo, plus a site name or colour for each town.
Every card is printed in full colour on both sides, so the back can carry a head office number or return address.
Coast, farmland and the Lammermuirs
The county is mostly rural, with coastline along the Firth of Forth and the Lammermuir Hills to the south, where Meikle Says Law rises to 535 metres. Farms, estates, golf clubs and visitor businesses across the area can give workers, seasonal staff and contractors their own ID.
