Keady ID cards
A mill town on the Clea
Keady is a small historic market town of 3,327 people (2021) in County Armagh, south of Armagh city, in the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon district. Its name comes from the Irish An Céide, ‘the flat-topped hill’. The Clea, a tributary of the River Callan, flows from Clea Lake through the middle of the town.
Keady’s railway station opened in 1909 and closed completely in 1957, but its viaduct still stands. Today the town’s employers are mostly small firms, shops and services, and where several businesses share workshops or offices, ID that shows which firm each person works for, plus visitor passes for reception, keeps things clear.
We print ID cards with a photo, name, role and company logo, with a different colour for each tenant if you share a building.
Every card is printed in full colour on both sides, so the back can carry building rules or an emergency contact.
Churches, schools and clubs
St Patrick’s Church, built in 1860 and extended in 1989, is one of the largest churches in the Archdiocese of Armagh by seating, and the town also has Baptist, Presbyterian and Church of Ireland congregations. Churches rely on volunteers for youth work and events, schools need staff ID and visitor passes, and sports and music clubs can give members their own cards. Singer Tommy Makem was born in Keady.
