Newbridge plastic cards
A valley town built around its Memo
Newbridge, or Trecelyn, is a town of 6,509 people (2011) on the Ebbw River in Caerphilly county borough, within the historic county of Monmouthshire. Its Celynen collieries drew miners from across Britain until mining ended in the mid-1980s, and the town is one of eight stations on the Ebbw Valley Railway, which opened to passengers in 2008.
At its heart is the Memo, the Newbridge Memorial Hall and Institute, built in 1925 to remember 75 local men who died in the First World War. Grade II* listed, it received a £2.9 million Heritage Lottery pledge in 2010 towards its restoration. Halls like this run on staff, volunteers and members, and plastic cards suit them well: member and friends’ cards, staff ID and volunteer badges.
We print plastic cards the size and thickness of a bank card, with member numbers, barcodes and photos where needed, and Welsh or bilingual wording available at an additional cost; contact us for details.
Every card is printed in full colour on both sides, so the back can carry membership benefits or a hall contact.
Rugby, football and schools
Newbridge RFC plays in the WRU Championship, and Newbridge Town AFC were league champions in 2022/23, so both clubs can order supporter and member cards, coach ID and steward badges. Newbridge Secondary School, with about 1,000 pupils, and the local primary schools need staff ID and visitor passes.
